Arribes Wine Route

Arribes Wine Route

History and culture

The Arribes Wine Route is located between the provinces of Salamanca and Zamora, on the border with Portugal.

We find a paradise sheltered between 180 km of granite fluvial canyons and metamorphic rocks that outline the Duero River.

The microclimate of the area makes the D.O. Arribes be unique and special. The Route offers a great variety of gastronomic, oenological, architectural and cultural possibilities surrounded by a great wealth of fauna and nature.

The Wine

Feel the fragance of the D.O. Arribes

The wines under the D.O. Arribes are characterized by their natural acidity in the whites and rosés that gives them a very fresh flavor, and in the case of the reds, by their high concentration of polyphenols and fruity aromas.

The varieties used to make our wines are Juan García, Garnacha, Rufete, Tempranillo, Mencía, Bruñal, Verdejo, Malvasía Castellana, Albillo Mayor and Albillo Real.

Thanks to the microclimate of the Arribes del Duero area, we can ensure a ripening of the fruits and a higher polyphenolic concentration to give more flavor and smell, thus modifying the aromatic profile of the wines and resulting in overripe and compote fruit.

Thev variety in the nature of Arribes allows wines with a unique aromatic range and characteristics that can be perceived through a taste, color, smell and texture very different from other denominations.
