Ronda and Málaga

History and culture

The Ronda and Málaga Wine Route covers the production areas of the D.O. Málaga and Sierras de Málaga

Our own wineproducing area, where diversity is a sign of our wealth, belongs to the “Málaga. Sierras de Málaga” Designation of Origin. Situated in the most north-westerly part of the province of Málaga, the region is surrounded by the Natural Parks of Grazalema, Sierra de las Nieves and Los Alcornocales, with the first two holding UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status. The passage of time has left us an amazing and rich historic and cultural heritage, embodied by our monuments, villages, traditions and gastronomy.
